I built Materials Marketplace because I got fed up with having dozens of supplier tabs open trying to find the best deal on materials.

One supplier was cheapest for timber, another for plasterboard, a third for insulation. Comparing everything manually was slow, frustrating and inefficient. The more people I spoke to in construction, the more I realised it wasn't just my problem.

That's why I built Materials Marketplace.

​

Every pound saved on materials goes straight to the bottom line. For contractors and tradespeople, that means protecting margins. For homeowners, it can be the difference between coming in on budget and having to explain to your spouse why the renovation suddenly costs £3,000 more than planned.

The construction materials market remains surprisingly fragmented. Prices vary significantly between suppliers, product information is inconsistent, and comparing options is often harder than it should be.

My goal is simple: build a single place where anyone can compare construction materials across the UK's leading suppliers and find the right products at the best price.

Today, Materials Marketplace helps users discover and compare products across multiple suppliers. Tomorrow, I hope it becomes the easiest way to buy building materials in the UK.
